FSX: Steam Edition: Airbus Series The Collection (Vol. 1- 4) [torrent Full]
im sure that the airbus has been quite extensively tested by both aerosoft and concept from cls in the past, especially being a composite aircraft with a fuselage made from carbonfibre. so im unsure why several graphics bugs remain in the product. one particularly annoying detail is the aircrafts slight cockpits jittering when getting near land where lower altitude settings are used. it appears to make the aircraft very jumpy, making it very difficult to fly without the occasional climb to altitude. ive noticed this in the past with the a320-200/300 and it seems to have come back around with the a320-x. the other thing that has happened is that in the eicas down-modes the threshold is incorrectly set at around 1000 ft, meaning at certain windspeeds the eicas can confuse the aircrafts altitude with groundspeed to the point where it becomes completely erratic. ive seen this happen in a severe roll-over condition with the aircraft plummeting towards the ground. this is a pretty major issue. another issue ive found is that the engines are often missing from the eicas when at altitude in the egpws down-mode. so during landing conditions the egpws altitude reading becomes inaccurate as the nose gear is retracting.
for a fsx product, it appears to include a rather large amount of aircraft demos. i think the only ones worth mentioning are the a320, b737-ng, b77700, b737-800, and b737-800. its a good selection and a nice addition to the product. the egpws plugin is well done and includes the lap (local area plotter) feature for those with a p51d.
the p51d plugin is a very nice addition, and with the lap feature you can now navigate at night! the simulating the p51d is quite easy since you have access to the aircrafts aim-7 sparrow radar. the egpws also has a nice weather radar system that is accurate enough to allow you to select airports and proceed to run through all the weather conditions without the need to download the weather files. the egpws also has excellent fmc information and very robust fmc ifr procedures for learning. and lastly, the live systems weather information is very accurate.
